About the Artist
Born in Thailand and resident in Canberra, Australia, from 1974. Awarded a Bachelors Degree from the University of Canberra.
I started to paint as a hobby. In 2001 to accompany my husband who was working overseas, I tried watercolour by painting exotic flowers during long stays in hotels. I got to love the medium and later enrolled in watercolour techniques classes ANU's School of Arts.
In 2004, I decided to focus on botanical painting. I started to exhibit in 2005 and in 2009, I started to teach botanical painting at the Canberra Institute of Botanical Art and Canberra Institute of Technology. I am also the Workshop
Co-ordinator of the Canberra Institute of Botanical Art. As my work has developed I regularly take commission from private and public clients.
My style has been to focus on the application of dry brush techniques to render finely detailed paintings that display a velvety appearance.
I regularly exhibit with:
Sydney Botanica and
Canberra Botanical and
Australian National Botanic Gardens
In 2013, I exhibited at the London Royal Horticultural Society and was awarded a Silver-Gilt Medal
